Customer TestimonialsI was wanting to share my experience with yall. Opening day of gun season in Ga. me and my wife went hunting. We both climbed in the stand with anticipation of seeing a deer that morning. It was 6:22am. when I set the Scent Machine out on a limb about 30yds. from my stand. No more than 10min. of turning it on and climbing back in my stand and sat down, a deer comes straight in on my trail. The deer appeared to be a buck, but wasn't sure because it was still dark. This deer came straight up to the Scent Machine with a purpose to check out what the smell was. Anyway I watched this deer for about 45min. feeding on persimmons, finally it was light enough to see what he was. I then began to notice he had no antlers so I shot and down he went. Thats not all yet, at 9:30am. I saw movement up in the pine thicket I was hunting against there was 2 more about 75yds. appoaching fast it was 2 more deer. they had the same response as the first one did. Low and behold 2 more antlerless deer. Well I shot and killed 2 more. Thirty minutes go by I get down to see what I got, there lies 2 knot heads and a doe. Well the scent that I used was the Intimidator. I'm very pleased with my purchase of the Scent Machine, and have been telling my friends and family about it. I do believe in this product and plan to have many more memorable hunts. thank you. I love my Scent Machine. I used it for the first time yesterday and I saw a lot of deer, passed up on shooting, but had plenty of action in area that I have hunted before and haven't seen any deer. I'm positive that the Scent Machine did its job. Can't want to use it again tomorrow. Thanks, I watched as the bucks ran into the field, one right after another. This just couldn't be happening! So far, there were five of them. I watched as they circled each other, stiff-legged, hair bristled, and ears laid down, each trying to prove his dominance and claim the rights to the doe that they thought was nearby. My husband Tommy and I were both awestruck at the scene unfolding before our eyes. "The Scent Machine-- is working," I said excitedly. "They're smelling the Red Hot Doe Scent." There were no does in the field and I knew that the scent being dispersed through the air from The Scent Machine-- was what had pulled these bucks from their protective homes in the thick brush out into the open. We could only stare in amazement. The Scent Machine is a great new product offered by CommonScents Hunting Products and it is causing quite a stir in the woods this year! The Scent Machine is a unique scent-dispensing system, which utilizes an automatic dispenser with aerosol scents. Running off two "C" batteries, the dispenser automatically sprays a fresh burst of scent into the air every 3 1/2 minutes. The scent remains airborne where the bucks can smell it for hundreds of yards. These bucks today were sure that they had located a doe nearby ready to mate and they were ready to fight for that once-a-year opportunity. As Tommy and I continued to watch the scene unfold in front of us, Tommy noticed one of the bucks had left the group and was moving directly up the center of the field... straight for The Scent Machine--. Leaving his buddies behind to fight over their breeding rights, this beautiful sixteen-inch wide eight-point-buck was ready for action. My husband watched from the open doorway of the barn as the whitetail marched straight to The Scent Machine-- with his nose in the air. Tommy was instantly sold on this product. "Did you see that?" Tommy asked excitedly as he watched the buck disappear into the thick brushy hillside. The eight-pointer was a shooter, but Tommy had only one buck tag left, so he chose to pass on the young buck, in hopes of finding one of the monster bucks like the one we had seen while bow hunting a day or two before gun season came in. We continued to watch the bucks in the field until it was too dark to see them. We camped in the barn overnight and emerged early to find the north wind blowing 5-10 miles an hour. We made the ethical decision to hunt the opposite side of the barn after noticing two hunters come in and sit across the field from where we had seen the bucks the night before. A little disheartened, we grabbed our guns, my shooting sticks, and The Scent Machine-- loaded with Red Hot Doe. The wind was not in our favor, but we located a place in some high sage grass to sit at the head of the opposite field. I then searched for the perfect place to hang The Scent Machine-- on a fencepost not far from where we were hunting and settled down to see what would happen. We didn't have to wait long. Three does came into the field almost immediately. I watched them closely through my binoculars knowing that they would alert us to any new whitetails entering the field from the woods nearby. Sure enough, it was only minutes before I noticed all three does lift their heads from feeding and look to the south. I slowly turned my head and watched a buck emerge from the creek-bottom from behind me. The Scent Machine-- was between the buck and me and I watched as it sprayed another burst of scent into the air. The wind was blowing and swirling around as it often does in the Ozark Mountains, especially in the valley where we were hunting. "He'll smell The Scent Machine--." I whispered to Tommy, as we watched the does run quickly from the field. I feared the buck would immediately chase after the does, but instead he remained to my left. It was not those does he was interested in. His strong sense of smell told him that the doe he was after was not in the far end of the field where these does had been. Instead, he was looking for the doe that he was sure was bedded down in the sagebrush. He was following his nose. He was not in a hurry as he jumped the fence, but took his time feeding slowly towards The Scent Machine--. I decided that I would take this buck and lifted my .243, but all I could see in my scope was the cedar sapling separating me from my buck. "You need to shoot that buck!" Tommy urged. Grinning, I assured my husband that I would do just that. As the buck came around the cedar, I found him in my scope. I didn't have time to grab the shooting sticks. This was one time, I concluded, that the old knee would have to work. I steadied my shot and pulled the trigger. The buck didn't run far, but crossed the remaining field and jumped the fence. We found the mature, swollen-necked buck just over the fence in the cedars. His sweeping, honey colored rack carried eight points and his big head, grizzled gray face and heavy body told the story of many November rutting seasons in the past. My shot was true and today he would be going home with us. However, the story doesn't end there. As I returned to the barn for my camera, Tommy remained behind with my buck. The Scent Machine-- was still at work, pumping Red Hot Doe every 3 1/2 minutes and during my absence, another buck emerged. I returned with camera in hand, stopping along with the way to retrieve The Scent Machine--, to find Tommy penned down at the edge of the field with a buck circling him. Now this buck was within feet of Tommy and Tommy was crouched down in a most uncomfortable position, not moving. I watched from the brush as the young eight-point slowly made a circle trying to get downwind of Tommy. As it made the circle, it apparently caught wind of The Scent Machine-- and he was now moving in my direction. "Oh my!" was my immediate thought, "If he jumps the fence, he will land right in my lap!" This cannot be happening! It's just too easy. Tommy didn't know I was sitting in the brush behind him and I feared he might not see my orange in the dense cedars , so I stood to make myself more visible, knowing Tommy would not shoot in my direction. Though he had already made the decision to pass on this buck, too, I didn't know that at the time. Needless to say, the buck was also made aware of my presence and the story ends there. I won't be hunting again without The Scent Machine-- in tow. It proved itself after only one day's use in the field. My second day in the woods with The Scent Machine-- only strengthened my belief in it. Two days of use and we saw at least eight good bucks. I have a beautiful eight-point to hang on the wall thanks to this wonderful new product and the guys at CommonScents! I am a retail store in South Georgia. I found out about the Scent Machine at Buckorama in Perry, GA, so I brought the product into my store. I had been talking about it to my customers. The day they came in, a customer came in and wanted to know if I had them in yet. I said Yes and didn't have them out of the box yet. He said he wanted one. So I sold the unit with the Dominant Buck Lure. This was approximately 4:30 pm. The last words I said were "When you kill one, get a picture". He showed up the next afternoon with his 10 year-old son. They were both smiling! They told me they went straight to the woods when he bought the Scent Machine. They hung it up and 15 minutes later, an 8-point buck was walking straight to the scent machine. Needless to say, they call the 10 year-old boy "8-Point". Thanks to CommonScents, I have some very happy customers now. Thank you guys for such an awesome product. Chad Carver I have always been a pessimist when it came to combining the use of scents and deer hunting. The local deer seem to be putting enough of the real thing on the ground anyway and it cost money that I could be spending on other things. Not that I have not tried them, I have, I just have not seen a lot of proof that it works on a regular basis. Then I met the Commonscent guys at the Birmingham, Al. deer show in 2002. They had exactly a product that I had envisioned. I still had my doubts, but bought a scent machine. By the second week of rifle season, I had seen deer actually walk up to the dispenser. I shot racked bucks, during this time, two, of which, came on consecutive days. But, the most exciting hunting was yet to come. Everyone knows that the rut period of the season can be awesome. The second Saturday, January, 2003, started off bone chilling cold. I had found an impressive rub line the weekend before and had observed two small bucks there, but knew something bigger called it home. I placed a strap-on seat to the side of a hemlock, over looking a small creek, with a thicket to my back. The scent machine was hanging downwind, 30 feet away. About 7:30am, a doe came walking right at me, her nose in the air, looking for the doe she could smell but not see. I new if a buck was around he had better show up fast, because she was about to walk up in my lap. Then, like most do, he just appeared, out of the thicket, looking to pass on his genes. Love dealt him aces and eights. The following Monday, I hung the scent machine and climbed into my stand. I had just sat down when I heard a deer coming through a thicket to my right. I was preparing for a close shot again, when I saw a racked buck coming off the hill in front of me, I elected to shoot him because I could and because I could not see what the other deer was. The next evening I was back in the general area, but in another stand. The scent machine was spraying every few minutes. Just before dark, I spotted a doe coming down the tree line. Then all heck broke loose. The buck must have slipped in on the other side of the trees looking for the hot doe he could smell, when he saw the other one coming and took off after her. She took him down the draw and then brought him right back to me. Two days later I was back in my stand, thinking about the events of the last three hunts when I heard a limb snap to my left. I turned in time to see him jump the creek and come straight at me, nose in the air, I could not believe it! Four days hunting, four bucks! Sean Brown, Alabama Hey Brent, Luckily, I live near a big block of woods where I can feed the deer at my house ( I don't hunt them here ). I just love to watch, learn about and appreciate them. I tested a Scent Machine on these animals that I can freely move around, just to get their reaction prior to the hunting season when there is some local hunting pressure. One day in late September, I activated the Scent Machine with some Sweet Pee upwind and I could see the deer react in a positive, calm, relaxed, yet interested manner to the airborne scent. As the rut approached I tested the Scent Machine on a young buck that I have been able to hand feed since he was in spots. I put some Hot Doe scent into the machine and hung it 30 yards upwind of the buck and sat back just to see what would happen. Instantly his nose went up and he started looking around and walking toward the Scent Machine in search of the hot doe. Two days later, I put out some liquid doe-in-heat scent in the area where I feed these deer and the same little buck acted nervous and uncomfortable, if not alarmed. Opening day of the Muzzleloader season opened in our part of North Carolina and I couldn't wait to try the Scent Machine. That first day I saw 8 different bucks! All but one of them walked to within 25 FEET of my Scent Machine...two of the bucks were within 3 feet of it! Most of the bucks and does stayed around the area and none of them were alarmed by the airborne scent. The one buck that did not approach the machine was just too far upwind and never caught the scent. Although I did not shoot any of these bucks,( our lease has very strict minimum antler size requirements ) 2 of them were shooters. One came in after legal shooting hours had expired and the other had part of his rack missing. The following morning, the lease owner (armed with the Scent Machine I bought for him ) hunted the same stand I had seen the 2 nice bucks from the evening before, shot a beautiful 11 pointer (likely the one that came in late the night before) . The buck was 3 feet from the Scent Machine standing broadside at 40 yards. I have nothing but praise for your great product. It has given me the opportunity to see 12 different bucks at very close range on just 3 trips afield. Being a small business owner, I have a limited amount of time to spend in the deer woods each fall. Your Scent Machine product allows me to optimize my hunting time and has provided me with an awesome attractant without the mess and hassle of handling small bottles of deer urine and wicks. The Scent Machine will always come deer hunting with me and I hope to see your booth at the Dixie Deer Classic where I will be buying another Scent Machine along with some refills. Regards, Some of my friends laughed at my new scent machine with synthetic deer scent when I purchased it before bow season. But, I gave it an honest try and I am sure glad I did. The second trip out with the red hot doe in the dispenser yielded me the biggest buck of my career and the new state record for that county with a bow. Just three weeks later, my second 140 plus buck fell prey to the new synthetic red hot doe scent by Common Scents. I didn't think it was possible to take two 140 plus deer in a lifetime in North Carolina, much less in the same season. They say the proof is in the pudding and I can say I am sold and so are the one's that were laughing! Thanks Common Scents! Brent, Again, my film got ruined at the lab, so I don't have any outside pictures. I'm glad I did take another group of pictures on another roll of film. Thanks Again To Whom It May Concern: Thanks again, I wanted to tell you that I used your product and was amazed. Two hunts and I had two bucks come to the scent machine. My friend used it and he also took a buck the next week. My father used it and he took a buck this weekend. REDHOT DOE is awesome. Thank you. *note-Red Hot Doe is now simply called Doe Estrous~same product, new name. John Swiney |
